Franklyn G. Buck, Jr. was a World War II veteran.  He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Buck of 41 Lake Street.

Mass said today for Franklyn G. Buck

SARANAC LAKE - A Mass of Christian burial was said this morning for Franklyn G. Buck, 66, of Bloomingdale Road, who died Saturday, Sept. 3, at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake.

The Mass took place at St. Bernard's Church with the Rev. Douglas Comstock officiating.

Mr. Buck was born Dec. 3, 1921, in Brooklyn, the son of Franklin G. and Margaret (Demerse) Buck.

He was a resident of Saranac Lake for the past 48 years.  Mr. Buck was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army Air Corps. He worked for the Village of Saranac Lake for 26 years, and was superintendent of the water and sewer departments when he retired in 1970.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma; a son, Stuart, of Fair Oaks, Calif.; six daughters, Mrs. Francis (Lynne) Coullier and Mrs. Stephen (Mary) Buzzell, both of Saranac Lake, Mrs. Daniel (Theresa) Garrett of Simpsonville, S.C., Mrs. David (Susan) Goodrow of Lilburn, Ga., Mrs. Thomas (Rosanne) Canning of Lake Mary, Fla., and Alison Buck of Tacoma, Wash.

Other survivors include a brother, Thomas, of San Jose, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. John (Margaret) Trummer of Saranac Lake; 15 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Burial took place at St. Bernard's Cemetery.

Donations in Mr. Buck's memory may be made to High Peaks Hospice in care of the Fortune Funeral Home.
