Mr. Carter was born March 4, 1927 in Saranac Lake, a son of the late Frederick L. Carter and Theresa Morgan Carter. He is a graduate of Saranac Lake schools, Catholic University of America in Washington. D. C. and received a pharmacist's degree from George Washington University. He is a veteran of Army service.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, the former Ursula Gierloff; a brother, Robert of Bloomfield N. J.; two aunts, one of whom is Miss Helen Morgan of Saranac Lake; an uncle; and three nieces and three nephews.
