SARANAC LAKE — Gaylord Martin, 59, of Cortland died Tuesday at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
He was born in Saranac Lake on Sept. 12, 1920, the son of Ambrose Martin and Stella Bombard.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: his wife, the former Mary R. Gilligan, of Cortland; two sons, Joseph of Lake Placid and John of Cortland; two daughters, Mrs. Brenda Predmore and Peggy Martin of Cortland; four brothers, Joseph, Wilford Gilbert of Saranac Lake and Bernard of Syracuse; five sisters, Mrs. Valeta Pelky of Saranac Lake, Mrs. Veronica Trombley of Tupper Lake, Mrs. Marie Brown of Mexico, N.Y., Mrs. Viola Skiff of Tully, Mrs. Hilda Pickereign of Springfield, Mass.; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be at the Keough and Son Funeral Home tonight from 7 to 9.
The funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Keough and Son Funeral Home.
The Rev. Peter Ward will officiate the mass. Burial will be at St. Pauls Cemetery.
