SARANAC LAKE— George A Donaldson Jr., 49, a lifelong resident of Lake Clear, died Sunday afternoon at the General Hospital.
He was born in Lake Clear, a son of George A. and Marion (Starks) Donaldson.
Survivors include his wife, the former Catherine Beaney; his father; three sons, George A. Donaldson III, Wayne B. and Craig E.; a daughter, Mrs. Catherine K. Fitzgerald; a sister, Mrs. Norma Young, and five grandchildren, all of Lake Clear.
He was the president of George A. Donaldson and Sons, Excavating Contractors.
Mr. Donaldson was a member of the Whiteface Mt. Lodge Free and Accepted Masons and the Lake Clear Presbyterian Church.
Friends may call at 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Fortune Funeral Home and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
There will be a Masonic Service at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Lake Clear Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Norman Darling officiating.
Interment will be in the Brighton Cemetery in Gabriels in May.
