George Bailey Dies In Newark, N.J. at 76
George Bailey, aged 76, died yesterday morning at 8 o'clock at his home at 559 Broadway, Newark, N.J., where he had made his home for the last 18 years.
The body is being returned to Saranac Lake tomorrow evening and will repose at the Fortune Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete but services have been tentatively set for Thursday. Mr. Bailey was born in September 1882 in AuSable, the son of Napoleon and Lea Delisle Bailey.
He is survived by his wife, the former Edna Bordeaux, two sons, Kenneth, of Saranac Lake, and Donald, of Bath, two daughters, Miss Fern Bailey, of Newark and Mrs. Marcia DeWitt of Basking Ridge, N.J., a brother, Fred, of Saranac Lake, and two sisters, Mrs. Eva Hennessy of Lake Placid, and Mrs. Jeannette Sandburg of Colorado.
