George L. Leggett was a World War II veteran. At age 19 he was taken prisoner in the Battle of the Bulge in Belgium on December 21, 1944 and was freed from a prisoner of war camp in Germany in the spring of 1945.1
He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon I. Leggett of 28 Terrace Street.
