George Belases Dies At Sunmount Hospital
George Belases, a resident of Saranac Lake for many years, died yesterday afternoon at Sunmount Veteran's Hospital. Mr. Belases was born in Greece on January 2, 1888, the son of Michael and Constandine Draries Belases. He was a veteran of World War I, having served in the U.S Army. He is survived by several cousins.
A service will be held at the Fortune Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. Peter O. Hill, rector of St. Luke's Church, officiating Interment will take place in Pine Ridge Cemetery in May.
