Gladd. Leaper Plan New Used-Car Lot

Progress and expansion in Saranac Lake has hit another building in the village. The six stall garage adjacent to the Riverside Park and owned by the Gladd and Leiper Buick-Pontiac Garage is being torn down. The garage, which has been rented by the Paul Smith's Electric Light and Power Company since right after the second World War, is being torn down to make room for a used car lot at the Gladd and Leaper Garage.  E. C. Pine built the garage in the twenties, and in the late thirties Mr. Pine sold it to the then Adirondack Park Motors which later was purchased by Dick Gladd and Guy Leaper. John Dewey Construction Co. is doing the work.
