Glenster F. Sawyer was a World War II veteran. He was a son of Ned and Dorothy Tyler Sawyer.

Glester [sic] F. Sawyer
GABRIELS - Glester F. Sawyer, 58, died yesterday at his home here.
He was born in Keeses Mills, the son of Ned and Dorothy Tyler Sawyer. He was married to the former Lillian Kaplan who survives him here.
Mr. Sawyer lived in Rochester for many years before moving to Gabriels last May. He was a self-employed contractor until his retirement. He was also a member of the Lake Shore Golf Club, Rochester.
Surviving, besides his wife, are five sons, all of Rochester, Thomas, Glenster, Richard, Roger, Roy and Ralph; three daughters, Laura Pacek, Pamela Versprille and Dorothy Sawyer, all of Rochester; two stepsons, Stewart and David Sovatsky; two brothers, Bruce, of Keeses Mills and Ned of Rochester; five sisters, Barbara LaMay, Keeses Mills, Marie Tolbert and Eulah Law, Saranac Lake, Janet Reeves, Rochester, and Joyce Crary, Tupper Lake; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home, Saranac Lake, today from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral will be tomorrow at ll a.m. from the funeral home, Rev. Peter Ward, pastor of the Church of the Assumption, officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Paul Smiths.
