Harlan F. Sperry was a World War II veteran.  His wife lived at 74 Main Street while he was in the service.

Mr. H. Francis Sperry, 62, of 148 Furman St., Syracuse, died Saturday, March 23rd, in the Veterans' Administration Hospital at Syracuse, after several months illness.

He had been employed as a chef in the hospital.

Born in North Bangor March 14, 1906, he was the son of Eugene and Polly Southworth Sperry. He was a graduate of Franklin Academy, Malone. and served in the Navy in World War II.

Surviving are, his widow, Evely (sic: Evelyn?) Sperry; a son, Harlan of Brooklyn; two daughters, Mrs. Judith Sperry and Mrs. Gerald Annis, both of Plattsburgh: two sisters, Mrs. Albert Hyde of No. Bangor and Mrs. Irving Lewis of Long Island, and four grandchildren.

Services were held Monday at the John G. Butler funeral Home with the Rev. Peter Tompkins officiating. Cremation followed the service and burial was at Saranac Lake.

Harlan F. Sperry

A graveside service for Harlan Francis Sperry, who died March 23 in Syracuse, will be held at 3 p. m. May 18 at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Saranac Lake. The Rev. Peter O. Hill, rector of St. Luke's Church, will conduct the service.

Mr. Sperry formerly lived in Saranac Lake and worked at the Trudeau Sanitarium. His wife, the former Evelyn Allen of Saranac Lake, survives. She lives at 1445 South Salinas St., Syracuse.

Other survivors are three children, Mrs. Judy Sperry of Plattaburgh, Mrs. Janice Annis of Plattsburgh, and Harlan of Astoria; two sisters, Mrs. Albert Hyde of North Bangor and Mrs. Mildren [sic] Lewis of Long Island: And six grandchildren.
