HARRY PAYE, 57, NORMAN RIDGE NATIVE, DIES

MALONE, Jan. 26—A High Mass of Requiem and military funeral rites were conducted at 9 o'clock this morning in Notre Dame church for Harry A. Paye, 57, native of Norman Ridge and brother of Mrs. K. A. Bunker of 44 Broadway, Saranac Lake.

The body was placed in a vault to await burial in the Notre Dame cemetery in the spring. Mr. Paye passed away at his home Thursday night after an illness of several years. Death was attributed to a cerebral hemorrhage.

Mr. Paye was born Aug. 4, 1891 at Norman Ridge, the son of the late Sylvanus and Mary Carney Paye. He was educated in the Gabriels school. On April 17, 1917, he married the former Miss Mary Margaret Machaby of North Bangor.

He was a veteran of World War I and served as a New York Central ticket agent in Malone for 25 years. He was a communicant of Notre Dame church.

Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Donald of Malone; two daughters, Mrs. Douglas Waterman of Long Island and Miss Shirley Paye of Malone; two brothers, Bernard Paye of Gabriels and Albert Paye of Malone; two sisters, Mrs. John Flynn of Gabriels and Mrs. Bunker of Saranac Lake and three grand children.
