Hellen Distin Leggett was a daughter of photographer William L. Distin.  She is buried in Pine Ridge Cemetery.

DELRAY BEACH, FL. - The daughter of famed Adirondack photographer and artist William L. Distin, Hellen Distin Leggett, 87, died Thursday, Dec. 3. She was the wife of the late Herbert R. Leggett who died in 1974.

She was born in Plattsburgh on April 8, 1894.

Surviving are a daughter, Ann Ersted of Boynton, Fla., three grand-children; Kimberly Ersted of Avon, Mass., and Susan and Leslie Ersted of Minneapolis, Minn., two great-granchildren and five nephews.

Also surviving is a sister, Roda Roberson of Saranac Lake.

Mrs. Leggett was the sister of the late William G. Distin, a North Country architect.

She was a member of the Saranac Lake Village Improvement Society and the Saranac Lake Presbyterian Church.

Private services were held in Delray Beach and a memorial service will be held in Saranac Lake at a later date
