SARANAC LAKE — Helene A. Panerai, 81, of Forest Hill Avenue, died Saturday, July 20, 1991 at her home.

Born March 7, 1910, in Rutland, Vt., she was the daughter of Adolf and Hilma (Krans) Anderson.

She married Camilo Panerai on Dec. 22, 1943.

She was a graduate of West Rutland High School and worked as a dietician at the Altavista Lodge in Saranac Lake from 1930 to 1944. Along with her husband, she owned and operated the lodge from 1944 to 1958.

Survivors include her husband; four sisters, Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth) Williams of Poultney, Vt., Marie Anderson and Mrs. Roderick (Mildred) Layn, both of Rutland, Vt., and Mrs. Randall (Anna) Wisell of Sarasota, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Luke's Church, in Saranac Lake with the Rev. Fredrick Dennis, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Cemetery, in Rutland with Father Stephen Reid of the Good Samaritan Lutheran Church officiating.

Memorial, donations may be made to the High Peaks Hospice, Box 131, Saranac Lake, or St. Luke's Church in Saranac Lake.
