SARANAC LAKE — Henry Hollis, 84, of Trudeau Road, Saranac Lake died Monday, Oct. 18, 1993 at his home.

Born Nov. 9, 1908 in Beverly Township, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of William and Agnes A. (Hodson) Hollis.

Mr. Hollis came to the Saranac Lake area in the 1930s and was employed at various area farms. He purchased the Oseetah Dairy Farm in 1946 which he operated until the 1960s. He continued as a carpenter and plumber.

Survivors include two step-sons, Ronald Hesseltine of Saranac Lake and Roger Hesseltine of Gypsum, Colo.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Robert (Patricia) Finn of Saranac Lake; two sisters, Mrs. Agnes McMaster of Cransbrook, British Columbia, Canada and Mary Winter of Welland, Ontario, Canada; two brothers, Bert Hollis of Niagara Falls, Canada and Frank Hollis of Watertown; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Hollis was predeceased in 1955 by his first wife, Rose Pedroni, and his second wife, Carrie B. Kelley Hesseltine, whom he married in 1956, died in 1986. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Catherine Rose Monteau in 1970.

There will be no calling hours. A private memorial, service will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the High Peaks Hospice or Meals on Wheels in care of the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, Saranac Lake, which was in charge of arrangements.
