COCHRAN—In Merrlllsville, Nov. 3Oth, suddenly of apoplexy, James Cochran, a well-known veteran of the Civil War, aged 77 years. Interment in Merrillsville cemetery.

Mr. Cochran had been a resident of Merrillsville for many years and had a wide circle of friends throughout the Adirondacks. He was a man of substantial character and worth and his loss is deeply felt. Three brothers and two sisters survive him. They are Grant, Henry and Charles Cochran, all of the Adirondacks; Mrs. P. A. Cunningham, who resided with him, and Mrs. Cyrus Stickney, of Loon Lake.
