John A. Bazinet was a World War I veteran.  He operated a jewelry store in Saranac Lake for many years and later served as the business administrator of the Saranac Lake General Hospital.

John Bazinet Dead at 80

SARANAC LAKE - John A. Bazinet, a long time resident of this village died in the Hallmark Nursing. Home in Glens Falls on Monday evening. He had been the owner-operator of a jewelry store in Saranac Lake for many years.

Upon his retirement he became the business administrator of the Saranac Lake General Hospital.

He was born in Glens Falls on August 8, 1896, the son of Addison and Louise Dubee Bazinet.

He was a World War I Navy veteran and a life member of the Knights of Columbus Council 599 and the American Legion.

He was married to the late Margaret Carson who died in 1971.

He is survived by three sisters; Mrs. Harold C. Zulaf, Mrs. Joseph E. Bazinet, Mrs. Daniel E. Lorey, all of Glens Falls, and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Keough and Son Memorial Chapel on Wednesday evening from 7-9. There will be a Knights of Columbus Bible Vigil at 8 p.m., Wednesday and a Mass of the Resurrection on Thursday at 11:15 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church. Interment will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
