SARANAC LAKE - Karin Nyberg, 89, of 5 Academy Street, died Friday, Oct. 14, at her home.
She was born Nov. 5, 1898 in Stockholm, Sweden, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hasselquist
She was a resident of Saranac Lake since 1950. She owned and operated the Decorator Shop on Academy Street until her retirement in 1980.
Her husband, Magnus, died in 1969. She was predeceased by a son, Harry, in 1957.
She is survived by two grandchildren and a friend, Margaret West of Saranac Lake.
There will be no calling hours.
A graveside service will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday at the North Elba Cemetery in Lake Placid with Mrs. Elizabeth Wells of the Christian Science Society officiating.
Donations in Mrs. Nyberg's memory may be to the Saranac Lake Fire Department Rescue Squad in care of the Fortune Funeral Home.
