SARANAC LAKE — Lawrence F. Lattrell, 83, of 140 Lake St., died Thursday April 12 at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake.

He was born Dec. 11, 1906 in Saranac Lake, the son of Plin and Fannie (Webb) Lattrell.

He was married Aug. 22, 1952, to the former Laverne Huth, who survives.

Mr. Lattrell worked as parts manager. and auto mechanic for the Lakeside Garage. He also worked as a house painter for Wood Brothers of Saranac Lake, retiring in 1981.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Saranac Lake; the OX-5 Aviation Club and the American Legion. He was also a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army-Air Force.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include two sons, Stanley Lattrell of Austin, Texas and Walter Lattrell of Essex Junction, Vt.; three daughters, Denise Ortega of Winterhaven, Fla., Maxine O'Reilly of Ogdensburg, and Frances Darling of Manchester; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Galling hours will take place from 1 to 2:45 p.m. Saturday at the Fortune Funeral Home.

There will be a veteran service at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, followed by a funeral service at 3 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Lowenthal officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery in May.

Donations in Mr. Lattrell's memory may be made to the Saranac Lake Rescue Squad in care of the funeral home.
