SARANAC LAKE - Leo R. Lamy, 88, formerly of Saranac Lake, died Monday, April 28, at the Mercy Health Care Center in Tupper Lake.

He was born on Jan. 17, 1909 in Tupper Lake, the son of Arthur and Alice (Lacette) Lamy.

He had been a life long resident from the area and was a self employed carpenter for many years, retiring in 1965. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in France.

He was predeceased by his wife, the former Lillian Meagher, who died on July 2, 1973.

He is survived by several nieces, Margaret Gillis, Maureen Root, Susanne Frenette, Joann Cole and Barbara Clark, all from Tupper Lake, a half sister, Barbara Thomas, of Tupper Lake and a nephew. Lawrence LaFave of Canada. He was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.

Private funeral services will be held at the Fortune Keough Funeral Home in Saranac Lake. Burial will follow in St. Bernard's Cemetery.

Friends may make contributions in his name to the Saranac Lake Adult Center in care of the funeral home.
