Leonard Tyler was a World War II veteran, and later served as management analyst for the Pentagon. Born in Lake Clear, he later lived at Bartlett Carry.

SARANAC LAKE - The funeral service for Leonard Tyler, 57, who died at the Champlain Valley Physicians' Hospital, Plattsburgh, on Wednesday, May 27, will be tomorrow at 10 a.m., at St. Bernard's Church.

Calling hours are set for today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Keough and Son Funeral Home. A Bible vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m., this evening at the funeral home.

Mr. Tyler was born in Lake Clear on July 10, 1923, the son of Martin A. and Edith (Pellerin) Tyler.

He was a retired management analyst for the Pentagon and had lived in Saranac Lake before moving to Bartlett Carry in Tupper Lake several years ago.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn (Frain) Tyler of Bartlett Carry; a son, Thomas Tyler of Virginia; and seven daughters, Mrs. Jeffrey (Barbara) Black of Kansas, Mrs. Michael (Virginia) Repsher of New Hampshire, Mrs. James (Carol) Reed of New Hampshire, Mrs. Rodger (Patricia) Carroll of Vermont, Mrs. Robert (Jeanette) Rabichow of Illinois, and Miss Margaret Tyler and Miss Mary Tyler, both of Saranac Lake.

Two brothers, Martin Tyler of Syracuse and William Tyler of Peru; a sister, Mrs. Frank (Pearl) LaVallee of Saranac Lake and four grandchildren also survive.

Following the Saturday funeral, burial will take place in St. Bernard's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
