LOUIS H ABARE DIES; GUIDE AT PAUL SMITHS
Louis H. Abare, 60, Adirondack guide, who had been in failing health for the past 15 years, passed away last evening at his home at 39 Franklin avenue.
Mr. Abare was born in Malone on March 8, 1888, the son of the late Peter and Hattie DeBar Abare. For many years, he lived at Paul Smiths where he was guide for J. Arthur Fisher of Camp Forestmere.
Survivors include his wife, the former Miss Nellie LaMay; five sons. Eugene and Donald Abare of Paul Smiths, Sidney Abare ot Boston. Mass., and Lawrence and Kenneth Abare of this village; four daughters, Mrs. Wesley McClatchie of Westport, Mrs. James Latour and the Misses Charlotte and Theresa Abare of Saranac Lake.
One brother, Lawrence Abare of Winsted, Conn.; four sisters. Mrs. Harry Tougley of Buffalo. Mrs. David Coury of Winsted, Conn., Mrs. Stanley Hart of Wethersfield, Conn., and Mrs. Peter Pugnier of Torrington, Conn.; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The body will repose at the home. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning from St. Bernard’s church with burial in St. John in the Wilderness Cemetery, Paul Smiths.

LOUIS ABARE, 60, TO BE BURIED TOMORROW
Louis Abare, 60, of Saranac Lake. died at his home Sunday following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 9:00 a. m. at Paul Smiths.
Besides his wife, Mr. Abare is survived by five sons and four daughters. He is the brother-in-law of Mrs. Victor LaRock of 61 Waterhouse Street.
