M.M. Munn & Company was a jewelry business at 22 Broadway according to an advertisement in the program for the St. Bernard's Club's Minstrel Review, circa 1930. The ad mentions engraving and watch repair, and refers to itself as "The Hallmark Store". It became Scheefer Jewelers.

Saranac Lake Jewelry Firm Changes Hands

Matthew M. Munn has announced the purchase of the jewelry and optical firm of M. M. Munn & Co., Saranac Lake, by William G. Scheefer, a member of the firm for the past eight years.

The establishment has been conducted by Mr. Munn since December, 1919, following its purchase from the late Fred E. Hull.

Mr. Scheefer, by virtue of his long association with the jewelry trade is well versed in all departments of the new organization.

He has been a resident of Saranac Lake for the past 21 years. He is recognized as an authority on precious gems, and is ranked as one of the most expert engravers in this section of the Adirondacks. He has been associated with Mr. Munn for the past 16 years.
