Marshall Moody was a World War II veteran.  He was a  son of Abraham and Eloise (Bomyea) Moody.

SARANAC LAKE -- Marshall Lee Moody, 62, of 20 Mclntyre St., died Sunday afternoon, May 30, at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake.

He was born Jan. 12, 1920, in Saranac Lake, the son of Abraham and Eloise (Bomyea).

Survivors include his wife, the former Ruth L. Bancker, whom he married in 1969; a son Alan and two daughters, Eloise and Kathy, all of New Jersey; and three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Weir of Vermontville, Mrs. Hazel DuBray of Cary, N.C., and Mrs. Marion Breanon of Natural Bridge.

A stepson, Thomas Meehan of Costa Mesa, Calif.; two step daughters, Mrs. Katherine LaMay of Saranac Lake and Mrs. Marie Tiblis of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Mr. Moody was a member of the Moose Lodge and of the Disabled American Veterans. A life long resident of Saranac Lake, he was also a veteran of World War II, serving in the Marines and Coast Guard.

The funeral service was held this morning at the Fortune Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Chatterton of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Cremation followed.
