Maxine Effenbach Drutz
BALDWIN - Maxine Effenbach Drutz, a longtime resident of Saranac Lake, passed away at the age of 90 at her home in Baldwin on Monday, Aug. 5, 2002. Maxine was the widow of the late Solomon Drutz, an active community member until their move to New York City in 1960.
She is survived by her son and his wife, Aaron (Bud) and Sondra Drutz of Vienna, Va.; two daughters and their husbands, Helen Ann and Alan Zais of Orlando, Fla. and Susan and Fred Benson of Baldwin; four grandsons: David Drutz, Stuart and Michael Zais and Mark Andromidas; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Ruth Effenbach; and three sisters-in-law: Bea Drutz and Myrtle Effenbach of Saranac Lake and Bessie Redmond of Plattsburgh.
She was predeceased by one sister, Sylvia Kroll; and one brother, Mark Effenbach.
Services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 8 at the Weigand-Pensa Funeral Home in Baldwin, with burial in the Greenfield Cemetery in Hempstead on Friday, Aug. 9.
