Moose Point appears to have been a name for the point directly south of Whitney Point, the south shore of Fish Creek Bay on Upper Saranac Lake. It was owned by New York stock broker Talbot Taylor, whose plans to build an elaborate camp were dashed when his Manhattan brokerage firm collapsed; he subsequently sold the property to George H. Earle,Jr. who built two camps on the property.
