Mrs. Nellie Gray Dies Yesterday at SLGH
Mrs. Nellie Scott Gray, wife of Bertrand H. Gray, of 8 McCarthy Terrace, died at the Saranac Lake General Hospital at 9:30 a.m. yesterday after a long illness.
Her body will be at the Fortune Funeral Home in Saranac Lake.
Survivors besides her husband include two daughters, Mrs. Daphne Scott French, of Minetto and Mrs. Margarett Scott Nichols, of Albany. There are three granddaughters, Mrs. Frank Russ of Geneva, Miss Muriel Nichols Rochester and Miss Ellen Nichols of Albany, and five great-grandchildren. A niece, Mrs. Jessie Virge, of Bloomingdale Road, also survives.
Mrs. Gray was born at Crown Point, a daughter of George and Mary Ellen Taylor Geake. She was a member of the Methodist Church, the Order of Eastern Star and the Amaranth, and had been secretary of the official board of the Methodist Church in Saranac Lake for many years.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Saranac Lake Methodist Church with the Rev. Lionel R. Driscoll, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery in May.
