Nina LaBounty (nee Gleason) was born in Manchester, N. H. She married Maurice LaBounty in 1897, and they owned a farm in Dickinson Center for many years. They settled in Saranac Lake in 1925, and she lived here until she died in 1965. She kept a diary in 1930 that details their life in Saranac Lake. Mrs. Nina LaBounty

Mrs. Maurice LaBounty, of Saranac Lake, died this morning at St. Margaret's Nursing Home in Gabriels.

Mrs. LaBounty was born Nina Gleason in Manchester, N. H. on May 25, 1880, a daughter of Adeline Tower and Samuel Wright Gleason. She was married to Mr. LaBounty in 1897 and they were residents of Dickinson Center for many years. She had lived in Saranac Lake since 1925. Mr. LaBounty died in 1948.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Roy S. Tyler and Mrs. Herbert Donaldson, both of Saranac Lake, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Her son, Alton W. LaBounty, died in 1964, and another son, Harold, died at the age of three.

A funeral service will be held at 11 o'clock Wednesday at the Fortune Funeral Home. Internment service will be at 2 p. m. at Fairview Cemetery in Dickinson Center.
