Oliver J. Boula was a World War II veteran.  He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. O.J. Boula, Sr. of 1 Santanoni Avenue.

SARANAC LAKE — Oliver J. Boula, 59, died in Saranac Lake General Hospital on Saturday, Aug. 25,1984.

He was born in Saranac Lake on March 20, 1925, the son of Oliver W. and Anna V. (Strong) Boula.

He had been employed at Trudeau Institute for 37 years. He was supervisor of the Animal Breeding Facility. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army, European Theater.

Mr. Boula was a member of American Legion Post 447, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 337, was past commander and past county council commander of the VF W, chairman of Post 337 Bingo committee, a member of the Veterans Memorial Association Board of Directors, the Disabled American Veterans and the Wednesday Night Bowling League.

Survivors include his wife, the former Ruth B. Foster of Saranac Lake; two sons, Andy J. of Bloomingdale and Brian O. of Saranac Lake; two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Susan) Ward of Saranac Lake and Miss Patricia M. Boula of Richmond, Va.; a brother, Joseph of Saranac Inn; three sisters, Mrs. Armond (Betty) Amell of Saranac Lake. Mrs. Daniel (Annabelle) Paradise of Lake Clear and Mrs. Don (Rita) Desourdy of Saranac Lake; and two grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held at the Keough and Son Funeral Home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A Bible vigil service will be held at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home.
