A brick at the Saranac Laboratory has been dedicated in the name of Patrick Raymond MacDermot by his daughter, Patricia MacDermot Kasdan.

Patrick Raymond MacDermot, from Galway, Ireland and London, cured in Saranac Lake from 1944 to 1946 at the Holmes Cottage, at 5 Birch Street, at 88 Riverside Drive,1 on Park Avenue, and in Rockledge. He was a patient of Drs. Daniel Brumfiel, J. Woods Price, and Edward Welles. His wife, Ilah opened a bookshop on Main Street circa 1945-1947 called Wakefield Books.

He was a friend of Mary Acheson Bundy.

PATRICK R. M'DERMOT

Patrick Raymond MacDermot of 1245 Madison Avenue, a captain in the British Army during the recent war, died Tuesday at Saranac Lake, N. Y., after a long illness, according to word received here yesterday. His age was 43. Born in Galway, Ireland, he had served in many military posts throughout the world as a professional soldier. He leaves a widow, Ilah Niehoff, and a daughter, Patricia.
