SL Community Center Starting Organ Fund
A dinner will be held in the Veterans Memorial Home Nov. 3 for the benefit of the Saranac Lake Jewish Community Center Organ Fund.
The dinner will be prepared by Patsy Lario and Freddy Fortune, of the Brown Bear. They will serve the speciality of the house, spaghetti and meatballs. These are the chefs who served a similar dinner some time ago for the Shamus Club which received for them many plaudits from the diners. Door prizes will be a feature of the evening.
The organ is badly needed at the center and many Christian families in Saranac Lake are working on this project with the Jewish members of the community.
The committee under the chairmanship of Ben Ressler, is planning many events in order to raise the needed funds. The sum of $350 has been raised to date. The organ will cost about $2,000.
