Phillip H. Tucker was a World War II veteran.  He was a son of Henry and Maude French Tucker.  He worked as a mason.

SARANAC LAKE — Phillip H. Tucker of 3 Center St. died yesterday evening at the General Hospital.

He was born on Oct. 14, 1917, in Lake Placid, a son of Henry and Maude French Tucker.

He is survived by his wife, the former Myrtle Crowningshield, two sons: Phillip, Jr. of Schenectady, William of Saranac Lake; two daughters: Mrs. Clara Jessmer, Mrs. Phyllis O'Reilly of Saranac Lake; a brother Richard, of Plattsburgh; two sisters: Mrs. Catherine Swenson, Mrs. Mary Smith, both of Albany; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was a life long resident of the area and had been a mason employed by the State of New York for 20 years. He was a veteran of World War II.

Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home from 7-9 Saturday, 2-4 and 7-9 on Sunday. There will be a Bible Vigil at the funeral, home Sunday at 8 p.m. .A, Mass of the Resurrection will be said Monday at 11:15 at St. Bernard's Church. Interment will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery in May.
