Robert A. Muncil's was a shop foreman and carpenter and later owned and operated a convenience store in Poland, N.Y. He was a World War II veteran; his Enlistment Record, dated December 23, 1942, states that he completed grammar school, was a carpenter, and was divorced with dependents.

SARANAC LAKE — Robert A. Muncil 73, of Rainbow Lake Road, Rainbow Lake, died this morning at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete and with the Keough and Son Funeral Home.

Mr. Muncil was born April 28,1910, on Norman Ridge near Bloomingdale, the son of Benjamin A and Lottie (Martin) Muncil.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army Air Corps.

He was a shop foreman and carpenter and later owned and operated a convenience store in Poland, N.Y., with the help of his wife.

His first wife predeceased him. He married Arlene Jarvis Sept. 23, 1944 in Detroit, Mich.

Survivors include his wife of Rainbow Lake; his father; two son; Robert Benjamin Muncil of Bridgeport and Meridith Harold Muncil of Dickens, Iowa; a step-son, Richard Eldon Shew of Remsen; a brother, Nelson Muncil of Cutler Ridge, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Isabel Barry of Rainbow Lake, Mrs. Mary Empie of Earlville and Mrs. Velma Jenkins of Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
