Robert Benjamin Moody was a son of Harvey Moody and Elizabeth Still, and a grandson of Jacob Smith Moody.

His wife, Alice, was the daughter of George Washington Paye and Adelia Maloney.  She was born October 24, 1866 at Vermontville.  She passed away January 1950 at Saranac Lake.

Caroline married Judd Kelley and Gladys married Ethan Niles.

He is buried in Pine Ridge Cemetery.

Former S.L. Adirondack Guide Dies in Kingston

Robert Benjamin Moody, 95, former Adirondack guide, died Monday evening in Kingston, New York, following a long illness. Mr. Moody was born on June 28, 1864 in Saranac Lake and was the son of Harvey and Elizabeth Still Moody. For many years he worked as a guide in this area. He was also employed at the Moore Camp in Tupper Lake and at the Packard Camp of Lower Saranac Lake. He left Saranac Lake to move to Kingston in November, 1953, where he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Gladys Niles. Besides his daughter, he is survived by four grandchildren, great grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

The body will repose at the Fortune Funeral Home starting tomorrow, where there will be service at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. J. Reginald Butt, pastor of St. Luke's Episcopal Church, will officiate.

Interment will be in May in the Pine Ridge Cemetery.
