SAHANAC LAKE — Robert E. Herron, 70, of 60 Olive Street died Tuesday evening at the General Hospital.
He was born in Saranac Lake a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Herron.
Survivors, include two brothers, William of Malone and Walter of Arlington, Va., and five nieces and nephews.
Mr. Herron had been part owner of the Troy Laundry until 1968, and since then had been a clerk at the Tousley Liquor Store.
He graduated from Saranac Lake high school in 1926 and attended Fordham University and was a graduate of St. Lawrence University.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge 1508.
Friends may call at 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Fortune Funeral Home. A Bible vigil will be said at 7:30 this evening.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Bernard's Church, with the Rev. C.J. McAvoy officiating.
Interment will be in May.
