Robert Nadon operated the Gulf Service station next to the Lake Flower beach on River Street. The building was torn down in December 1975 for the widening of River Street.  Nadon moved his business to the "Blue Sunoco Station on Broadway," according to an article by Howard Riley in the Lake Placid News, March 18, 1976, titled "An Explanation of River Street Plans." See the page River Street for the entire article.

Nadon was the Fire Chief in August 1976 when a discotheque on Bloomingdale Avenue called The Store burned.
