Roda Distin Roberson was a Saranac Lake resident for 80 years, an organist with the Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Village Improvement Society.

SARANAC LAKE – Roda D. Roberson. 91, of 47 Riverside Drive, died Friday morning at Saranac Lake General Hospital.
She was born Nov. 12, 1890 in Montreal, Que., the daughter of William L. and Hellen [sic] (Gray) Distin.
She was a Saranac Lake resident for 80 years, an organist with the Presbyterian Church of which she was a member, a member of the Village Improvement Society and a 1909 graduate of Saranac Lake High School.
Survivors include three sons, David F of Saranac Lake and Donald C., of Niagara Falls and W. Douglas of Chester, Va.; seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her husband, Charles F. Roberson, died in 1963.
A private memorial service was held Monday at the Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John McClester presiding. A public memorial service will be held in the spring.
Friends wishing to remember Mrs. Roberson may make donations to the American Cancer Society. The Fortune Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
