Rollins Pond is a 44-acre pond bordering the St. Regis Canoe Area. It is the site of one of the largest public campgrounds in the state, with 287 campsites. It is accessed through the entrance to the Fish Creek campground, five miles southwest of Saranac Inn; it is another four miles via campground roads to get to the Rollins Pond campground.

Campsites Expanded

The Conservation Department expects its 35 public campsites to be used by at least 1,150,000 individuals this season, a 10 per cent increase over last year's record total.

To help meet the increased popularity of campsite vacations, the conservation Department has expanded the facilities at several of the existing locations. The Rollins Pond campsite near the big Fish Creek camp has been increased from 35 to 200 individual sites.
