Mrs. Rose Fortune Is Dead At 88
Mrs. Rose Fortune, for many years a resident of Bloomingdale and owner of the Fortune Tourist Cabins in that village, died early today at the Saranac Lake General Hospital.
Born Nov. 24, 1866 in Lewis, she was married at the age of 23 to William Fortune. The couple made their home in Bloomingdale. Mr. Fortune died recently.
Surviving are a sister, Miss Delia Perkett at Saranac Lake, and a daughter, Mrs. Louise Parish of Bloomingdale. There are three grandchildren Arthur, Sylvia and Frederick Parish.
Services were incomplete at a late hour today. It is expected that the funeral will be held Monday at St. Bernard's church with burial following in the family plot at Willsboro.
The body will rest at the Fortune Funeral Chapel in Saranac Lake.
