SARANAC LAKE -- Russell W. Clark, 68, of 214 Lake St., died Monday, Sept. 26, at his home.

He was born in Saranac Lake on Nov. 23, 1919, the son of Arthur T. and Louise (DuBois) Clark.

Mr. Clark was a lifelong resident of, Saranac Lake and an Army veteran of World War II. He worked for the state Department of Environmental Conservation as a mechanic for 25 years, retiring in 1983. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as woodworking.

On Aug. 12, 1942 he married the former Nora Woods, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Richard W. of Indianapolis, Ind., Arthur T. of Clifton Park, and Steven D. of Center Rutland, Vt.; a brother, Howard of Utica; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will take place from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Fortune Funeral Home. A rosary will be said at7:30p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be said Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church, with the Rev. David Wisniewski officiating and Deacon Fred Oberst assisting. Burial will be at St. Bernard's Cemetery.

Donations in Mr. Clark's memory may be made to High Peaks Hospice in care of the funeral home.
