Elizabethtown Post, November 26, 1903

In Memoriam.

The death on Friday, November 6th, of Mrs. Levi Noble, of Bloomingdale, in her 70th year, cast a pale of gloom over the vicinity which was reflected in the faces of all who knew her. Although a long and patient sufferer, her demise came very suddenly. It was the old, old story of a triumphant departure. She was so gentle, so modest, so winning in her ways, so kindly in disposition, so refined in her tastes, and elevated in her ambitions. She possessed a wealth of graces which well fitted her for any circle of society. Everything that the love of a fond husband, a son and two daughters could suggest was furnished her. She had great delight in her home and made it the daily subject of friendly converse; but the perfection of joy is not here. The home on this side is but a faint symbol of the mansion on that beautiful shore. “Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard the things that God hath prepared for those who love him.”

The funeral, which was largely attended, was held from the Noble residence in Bloomingdale, on Monday afternoon at one o'clock. Interment was made in the Brookside cemetery at Bloomingdale.—[Ex. [sic]

Beside a husband, three children, Dr. Noble and Mrs. Hattie Gillespie, of Bloomingdale, and Mrs. Dr. Church, of Massachusetts, survive the deceased. Also two brothers and two sisters, A. K. Dudley, of Elizabethtown, Royal B. Dudley, of Keene, Mrs. Wm. Moody of Keeses Mills and Mrs. Lavinia G. Puller, widow of Levi Fuller of Brillion, Wis.
