SYRIAC DUPREE, SARANAC TRUSTEE, DIES SUDDENLY

Services for Syriac Dupree, village trustee of Saranac Lake, who died suddenly Saturday, were held Tuesday in St. Bernard's church where a solemn requiem mass was offered by Rt. Rev. Monsignor Clarence Kitts, pastor.

Mr. Dupree had been in failing health several month but it was not thought his condition was serious. He came to Saranac Lake 51 years ago and received his education in the schools of this section. He had been active in municipal affairs many years and was elected to the board in 1941. He was reelected last March.

Mr. Dupree's family is one of the oldest in Northern New York. The family owns or has owned large tracts of property at Raybrook and in the North Elba sections of this village.
