Theresa C. Brown
Theresa C. Brown, 67, of Malta, passed away peacefully on Saturday July 14, 2018 at her home with her daughters by her side.
Born on May 15, 1951, Theresa was the daughter of the late Martin and Elizabeth (Temming) Koop and was raised in Saranac Lake, New York. She was the beloved wife of Donald J. Brown. Everyday they celebrated their love, admiration, and friendship for each other. They were both happy to have the company of each other. Their favorite place to vacate was Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
Theresa graduated from St. Pius X High School in Saranac Lake. Her yearbook read that she wished to be a housewife. As Theresa raised her three children, she and her mother owned a children's clothing store, the Cinderella Shop, located in the historic Hotel Saranac.
As Theresa's children grew older, Theresa started a new career in real estate. She was known as a reputable, top sales agent in the area with Caldwell Banker and Traditional Builders. She had the knack to turn a house into a home, as she did with all of her own. She took great pride in sharing her home with family and friends being hospitable and entertaining others.
She is survived by her daughters; Heidi Childs, Kristine (Kurt) Jackson, and Elizabeth Kunath, her stepdaughters; Courtney Gelish and Cayelan (Michael) Morris; her grandchildren; Deshawn Kunath, Mackenzie and Colby Jackson, and Lexie, Brielle, and Donovan Childs.
