HONORING THOMAS C. NORMAN — The plaque, above right in photo, was dedicated yesterday afternoon at the Saranac Lake Federal Savings and Loan in memory and honor of Thomas C. Norman [Sr.]. Norman was a director of the Association from 1936 to 1983, serving as the board's chairman from 1979 until his death at age 83 in 1983. Attending the dedication were, left to right, Norman's son, Tom, Jr., grand-daughter Susan Norman, daughter Phyllis (Norman) Knobel, his wife, Olive (Brundage) Norman, and Association president Charles Antonucci. Also in attendance were Barbara Norman and Raymond Knobel and Association representatives Arthur Neiderbuhl and Donald Moreau. The plaque is mounted on the wall in the entry vestibule of the bank.

Thomas C. Norman, Jr.owned and operated Norman Farms in Saranac Lake until his retirement in 1985. He served on the boards of directors for Adirondack Bank and the Loon Lake Home Owners Association.  He was a son of Thomas C. Norman, Sr. and Olive Brundage Norman.
