SARANAC LAKE Thomas F. Ward, Jr., 72, of St. Regis Avenue, Bloomingdale, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 1999 at his home.

Born May 25, 1927, in Utica, he was the son of Thomas and Clara (Kloster) Ward.

He married Agnes Mary Sterling on June 18, 1949 at the St. Francis deSlas Church in Utica.

Mr. Ward has been a resident of Bloomingdale for the past 12 years coming from Rochester where he employed as a technician for Honeywell, Inc. for 30 years. Mr. Ward was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy from 1945 to 1946.

Survivors include his wife of Bloomingdale; one daughter, Linda Metz of Detroit, Mich.; four sons, Michael J., Patrick D., Kevin G., all of Rochester, and Paul F. of Vermontville; 12 grandchildren; one sister Elenita Ashley of Titusville, Pa.; and two brothers William of Florida and George of Rochester; one aunt, Elizabeth Kloster of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one son Tom Ward and one brother, John Ward.

Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., on Friday at the Fortune-Keough Funeral Home, Inc. A Bible vigil service will take place at 8 p.m. on Friday. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday at St. Paul's Church in Bloomingdale with Rev. Flynn officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery in Bloomingdale.
