Tormey's Cabins were tourist cabins in Onchiota operated by Hayden J. Tormey and family from 1921 until possibly as late as 1995, when an "everything must go" garage sale was held there.

Tormey’s Lakeade Cottages
On the beautiful Rainbow Kushaqua chain of lakes
Our cottages will appeal to those desiring a restful vacation, not a hectic one. All are heated, fully equipped for housekeeping. Not the so called "Light Housekeeping." All modern conveniences.
It you wish to dine out there are several restaurants just minutes away. Cottages are well dispersed; no feeling of congestion so apparent at many tourist courts.
We have our own boat landing situated on a very scenic chain of lakes, also our own beach, shuffleboard court and outdoor fire-places. Free boats available for guests, also boats for rent with motors.
Onchiota has long been a Mecca for both fishermen and hunters. Numerous streams and lakes offer a wide variety of fishing, offering pike, four varieties of trout, bass and pan fish.
Adjoining our property is the "Six Nations" Indian Museum which will appeal to adults and children alike. Saranac Lake is 14 miles, Lake Placid 23. We are close to numerous attractions such as the Saranac chain of lakes, Whiteface mountain chair lift and highway, Ausable Chasm, Fort Ticonderoga, St. Lawrence Seaway and locks, or a trip to Canada.
Complete rates and floor plans of each unit will be supplied on request.
