SARANAC LAKE — V. Earl LaVallee, a life-long resident of this village, died Tuesday afternoon at the General Hospital. He made his home at 22 Olive St. He was born on Nov. 21, 1911 in Saranac Lake, the son of Joseph E. and Susy Ettinger LaVallee.

He owned and operated a plumbing and heating business for 40 years.

He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, the former Janet Wilson; his mother, Mrs. LaVallee, both of Saranac Lake; two brothers, Francis R. of Saranac Lake and George A. of Syracuse; three sisters: Mrs. Irene Bruso, Ray Brook; Mrs. Helena Septer, Saranac Lake; Mrs. Virginia Donovan, Rochester and several nieces tand nephews. He was a member of the American Legion and the local Elks Club.

Friends may call at the Keough and Son Memorial Chapels, Inc. Wednesday from 8-9 p.m. and Thursday from 24 and 7-9 p.m. There will be an Elks service at 7:15 Thursday followed by a Bible Vigil at 7:30, followed by an American Legion service at 7:45 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be said on Friday at 11:15 a.m. at St. Bernard's Church with the Rev. Timothy Driscoll officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard's Cemetery.

Friends wishing to remember Mr. LaVallee may make contributions to the Msgr. William LaVallee memorial fund at the St. Agnes School in Lake Placid.
