SARANAC LAKE — Velma M. Utting, 83, formerly of 3 Riverside Drive here, died Wednesday, Sept. 13, at the Alice Hyde Hospital in Malone.
She had been a resident of William Mansion Nursing Home in Malone for the past two years.
She was born May 7, 1906, in Saranac Lake, the daughter of Benjamin and Etta Moody.
She was a lifelong resident of the village. She was a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Rebeccas. Her husband, Willard, died Aug. 15, 1976.
She is is survived by a brother, Oscar Moody of Monroe; Conn.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A son, Robert, died earlier.
There will be no calling hours. A Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Fortune Funeral Home, with the Rev. Fredrick Dennis, pastor of St. Luke Church, officiating. Burial will fellow in Pine Ridge Cemetery here.
