Among Adirondack Anglers

by Charles L. Wright

Vic Saumnier [sic], Saranac Lake, knows just what it means to have a high-powered rifle staring him in the face and a finger on the trigger of said rifle.

Saumnier, hunting in the Floodwood section southwest of Saranac Lake was standing in the woods watching to see what was making a noise and after some time he moved along a trail towards the disturbance. As he rounded a stone he came face to face with another hunter whose rifle was pointed directly at the Saranac Lake nimrod.

A hasty shout made the other chap lower his shooting iron and after Saumnier told him, in no uncertain terms, what he thought of some of the things that incumber the woods during the hunting season he left for other parts.
