Died: c. 2010

Married: Eddie Fallon

Children:

Virginia Fallon, known as Jean, was a patient in Saranac Lake in the late 1940s. The antibiotic treatment saved her life, however she did lose a lung to the disease.

She had been married about four months when she was diagnosed with tuberculosis,  on August 19th 1945, right after the war.  Her husband had been a the US Navy Lieutenant out in the Pacific.

Her doctor in the Boston area was Dr. Theodore Badger. Her son, Eddie Fallon Jr. writes, "I can see her face now as if she was still here telling me about Saranac Lake and being so young (23) and she really didn't think she'd survive... I am an only child and was born in 1960 some 15 years after this [her cure in Saranac Lake], so they were like thrilled and she always told me that they try to have more children but wasn't meant to be. I just can't remember how long she said she was up there for, but I believe it was quite a while and I think she came back home but ended up going back up again maybe a couple years later, anyway.  As I had said, she lived long happy life till age 88 in town of Milton where I still live, just down the street from their house, which my oldest son (Eddie) lives in.... I also looked up the physicians name on that record of J. W. Price and was able to see how prominent of a doctor he had been....The other girl/woman I can remember is Bea Johnson, ended up living in Marlboro MA, I believe. They all used to meet for lunch sometimes,  through the years." -- email from Eddie Fallon Jr., January, 2017.
