In 1928, Watson Place ran from Seneca Street to Dorchester Road. Now, however, Seneca Street, which no longer goes through to Delaware Avenue, comprises the western half of the former street plus all of the former Watson Place.
The actress Veronica Lake is said to have spent part of her school years in the house at 1 Watson Place (now 27 Seneca Street).

Water Main Planned For Watson Place
Installation of a water main in Watson Place, from Seneca st. to Dorchester rd., should be completed some time in May, Village Manager Frank Buck announced today.
This is part of the Slater Hill development and so soon as the improvement is made it is expected the erection of new homes will begin. Mr. Buck said that the six-inch cast iron pipe to be used on the project will arrive in two weeks.
This is part of a long range program established here in the water department in 1949 to install water mains in sections which would be developed for building purposes.
Work on the main will begin as soon as the frost is out of the ground, the Village Manager explained. Also, work on paving the street, installing of street gutters and drain systems which was started in that section last year, will be resumed when weather conditions permit,
